Sportswear had spent decades ignoring a basic fact: women's bodies aren't men's. But the evidence was clear – training to your menstrual cycle can improve performance. So we went to Nike with a proactive idea: talk differently to the everyday female athlete about how she trains.
The result was Nike Sync – a digital training programme for people with periods. Built with Dr Stacy Sims, a global expert on female athletes, it helped people train to the key phases of their cycle and understand their own physiology.
It launched on the Nike Training Club app and across social, backed by female coaches and athletes worldwide – all working to normalise the conversation around periods and fitness. The first source of its kind.
In June 2022, it won the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Entertainment for Sport.
