The idea started with a simple question: could car insurance actually make Britain’s roads safer? So we created Aviva Drive, an app that monitored how safely people drove and rewarded the best drivers with money off their insurance. Drive well and you could pay less. A little sketchy behind the wheel? You paid the usual price.

Then we added a bit of family rivalry. The Aviva Drive Challenge invited families to compete for the title of safest driver, while viewers at home followed along and voted for who they thought would win.
